Chromium, however, is nephrotoxic. Occupational exposure to chromium has been associated with an increased risk of developing chronic renal failure (Nuyts et al) . Also, concentration of chromium is increased in the the blood of patients with renal impairment (Malecka et al) . See also Wasser et al . (jtd)
