Kimmel, MD
Dr. Kimmel is Professor of Medicine and Division Chief of Nephrology
at George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, DC, USA
Dr. Kimmel obtained his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, and
completed his Internal Medicine Training at Bellevue Hospital. He completed his Renal Fellowship
at the University of Pennsylvania Hospitals. Since 1983 Dr. Kimmel has been on staff at
George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Dr. Kimmel is author of numerous articles in the field of clinical nephrology and dialysis,
and has been recently interested in the interactions among depression, serum
cytokine levels, and outcome in ESRD patients.
