Theodore I. Steinman, MD

is a Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Director, Dialysis Unit, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. After completing his residency at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, Nephrology Fellowship training was at Tufts New England Medical Center under the leadership of Drs. William B. Schwartz and Jerome B. Kassirer. Dr. Steinman is past president, Renal Physicians Association; past chairman, Scientific Advisory Committee Polycystic Kidney Foundation, past-president National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Region 1, past-president and past chairman, National Kidney Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. At the current time he is a member of the NKF Medical Advisory Board, Kidney Disease Outcome Quality Initiative (K/DOQI).
