At the conclusion of the certified activity, participants should be able to do the following:
Provide a basic understanding on the importance of stabilizing Hb levels and the need to balance IV iron and ESA therapy in anemia management in hemodialysis patients
Examine recent guidance proposed by KDOQI, FDA, and CMS on appropriate Hb targets and anemia management
Describe case studies using best practices for IV iron and ESA therapy to help clinicians avoid, anticipate, and minimize Hb variability
