Discuss the epidemiology of hyperphosphatemia and cardiovascular calcification in patients with stage 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD)
Interpret the salient findings from recent clinical trials that investigated cardiovascular progression and mortality rates among patients with stage 5 CKD who were treated with various phosphate binders
Apply the process for the development of evidence-based best practices aimed at improving the quality of care for patients with stage 5 CKD.
