controls and peritoneal dialysis patients

This study examined 8 normal controls and 14 PD patients and attempted
to measure leand body mass by creatinine kinetics, DEXA scanning,
skinfold thickness and bioelectrical impedance (and serum markers of
nutrition). In normals there were good correlations (in decreasing order)
between DEXA, biolectrical impedance, skin fold thickness, and
creatinine kinetics. In PD patients however there was less agreement
between the tests, and the strongest correlation was between bioelectrical
impedance and skin fold thickness.
