An interesting study showing that in a large cohort (237 HD, 133 CAPD)
of patients in Canada that diabetes, previous myocardial infarction,
congestive heart failure, and ECG evidence of ischemia were more common
in PD patients compared to HD. On the other hand left ventricular mass
index increased more in the HD patients, probably as a result of
poorer blood pressure control and more anemia, than in PD patients.
