Severe neuropathy predicts mortality in non-diabetic dialysis patients
Am Soc Nephrol
J Am Soc Nephrol (abstract) (Nov) 6:552 1995

Sensory nerve function was measured in 123 non-diabetic dialysis patients by current perception threshold using 3 separate frequencies. Patient with severe neuropathy, defined as complete anesthesia on at least one frequency, had a twofold increased mortality risk using a Cox proportional hazard model. Neuropathy was not associated with the urea reduction ratio. Analysis by membrane flux category was not reported. (Daugirdas)
